Usually, installing/updating drivers resolves the issue but I still cannot get the built-in webcam working. Under HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, I downloaded "HP Webcam" and repeatedly installed it, restarted, and scanned for hardware changes in Device Manager but it won't show up.
Press the Windows key + I to start the Settings app, then click on Apps from the left pane and select Installed apps from the right. Look for the Camera app in the list, click on its three points button and select Advanced options. Now scroll down until you find the Reset section, then click on the Repair button.
Level 1. 10-02-2016 02:30 PM. Product: Probook 4540s. Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit) My HP Probook 4540S webcam has stopped working after Windows 10 update KB3194496 was installed. I installed the HPUniversal camera Driver but the webcam still doesn't work. Prior to the KB3194496 update the webcam worked perfectly.

After upgrading to Windows 10 my Built-in web cam (HP TrueVision HD) is not working though I have updated the webcam driver but still it says 'No webcam detected'. Need help. Hey there, I've installed PureOS 10.0 on a HP Notebook 14s-CF0078TU. I've managed to get it running smoothly minus the built-in webcam; it appears to be missing a driver. I thought it was due to PureOS being completely FOSS, however I tried a live boot of Ubuntu and it still wasn't recognised
Product: HP Z40c G3 WUHD Curved Display. Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit) I connected my work Laptop via Thunderbolt to the monitor. My Desktop PC has no Thunderbolt so I connected the Monitor via Display Port. Then I connected a USB-C to USB Cable as it says this would activate the USB Hub but nothing happens.
